Hi Everyone,
We are considering moving up to an Express 330 and we need to get between the Florida Keys and Delaware.
What advice can you give us about using a boat hauling service?
How do I find one? haven't googled it yet- how are costs calculated?
We need guidance.
Thanks so much!

here is a site that may help. they have an estimator as well. more than likely they will want you to empty all fuel. a boat that size will require permits for each state and those vary in pricing.

Call Jorge at 561 252 5770 for a quote...I used him to haul my boat between NJ and South Florida 5 times before I bought my lift.
He is reliable and his price is reasonable.

Not trying to be funny but if the boat is all good I might consider running it up the Intracoastal Waterway at this time of year. Stay inside if it is a bit rough or run offshore on nice days.

My first thought as well, although it certainly has other complicating factors.

Lived in Norfolk, VA for 44 years and have been up and down the Chesapeake Bay dozens of times, plus ocean between Norfolk and Newport, RI, with side trips to the Vineyard and Nantucket. Several trips between Norfolk and Indian River on the Islander. All on small power and sail vessels - not counting the grey hulls of my 28 years in the USN. Brought our Islander 270 from Norfolk to Fort Myers Beach in April, 2016.

I would suggest moving her on her bottom. The ICW can be great fun and a fantastic experience, and you can easily jump out in the boat for a few of the legs.

Happy to discuss lessons learned, etc, if you are interested.

If you decide to go uship, send me a PM, I will give you tips on my experience with them. They were super nice, but ya gotta be explicit in the description. They work wonders, if you get the right one.

Chuck: I've used Tony Stewart (561.253.4007) on ten occasions as he hauls my boat around to do the Great Loop. I have found Tony to be very conscientious in the way he prepares the boat and motors for towing.

Tony is based in Lake Park, FL.

Great experience, hauled Marlin 300 from MD to TX., no issues, very happy, best price from all I checked and had the bonding, permits, etc. I believe they are based in NC but broker all over.
