Hi guys what a great forum . My boat has a plug inside the boat in the stern down next to the bilge pump. It has a chain on it. I have never pulled it out and would like to know what it is for?

Is it part of the fish finder transdeucer? My old one had a paddle wheel that was removable where the whole core came out from the inside. It had a chain attached to it and a pin held it in place.

If it's the fuel compartment bulkhead drain, open and drain it periodically.

I don't see the need for such a plug on the outboard motor models, contact Grady and see what they say, or read the owners manual found at Grady website.

I/Os, yes it is needed.
