Trouble with Enclosure Snaps

Hi,

My boat uses the bullet type snaps on the two small esienglass sections of my enclosure. The balance are the standard circular snaps.
Last year, I had a tough time snapping the bullet snaps.

Is there a tool I should be using to seperate the spring clips in the female end of the snap or does anyone have any tips to make this easier this year?

You might try the Grady White Snap Pro tool. It is good for canvas snaps and a whole lot more.

I have the same canvas snaps and the same problem.
My canvas guy demonstrated the following technique to me.

Facing the "bullet" on the windshield, using both hands, put the snap over the top of the bullet, then pull down over the front of the bullet..It should lock on then..At least it did after HE did it.

I'm still perfecting it..I feel your pain....

It sounds easy but......
