Hi, I have a Tournament 19 with an old 3-bow, 5ft bimini that needs to be replaced (due to age, wear, etc). The standard replacement for my model appears to be a 3-bow, 6ft design. However, I'd like to replace it a larger bimini, such as a 4-bow design of 8ft in length. I have a young family and the shade really helps in the hot NC summers. I've measured the H x W x L and a 4-bow design would appear to work well. However, I'd like to know if there are other Tournament 19 owners here who've upgraded their bimini... and what size they used (and why). Much appreciated any feedback you'd offer, including a retailer to use.

Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

I work for the Canvas Shop of Avon. Usually on a boat like that, we wouldn't go that size. That is too large an area to cover. That frame would be HUGE and hard to handle.
I understand what you are saying, but on a 19' boat that is almost half of it.
Sometimes you can put another frame section up to extend your existing top - almost like having a camper back section. This way, it gives you options on the top instead of one big Bimini top. If there is any else that I can help you with, you can contact me at canvasshopofavon@aol.com
