A while ago I shared news about my icom 504 not being able to recieve anything. I sent it to icom and thrybreplaced the IF filters and they did not charge me for the repair. I will be reinstalling the radio this week. It is a good feeling when a company stands behind their product.

:goodjob For the near zero cost to them, they won a client for life. I had the same experience with Furuno. Also, last summer, I had to replace those wire holders in the bilge area. Every single one of them had deteriated to near nothing. I reported this to grady and they did call me to apologize but they didnt send me any new ones. I replaced using S/S. Happy nonetheless!

I did the same a year or so ago. They replaced the filters but it still isn't performing well IMO. I'd be interested to hear your results after you reinstall.
