Hi guys,

Just re-rigged my 1994 Yamaha saltwater series 200 motors

they both fired right up but the starboard one has a steady warning buzzer even after it starts.

I give it a lil throttle and it sounds like a rev limitier is kicking in.

Any ideas what im missing here?

thanks,
Tony L

I'd check the 2-stroke oir reservoir on the engine. It has a sensor in it that floats, and when low, it turns on the pump that refills the reservoir. If the float is stuck, or wiring to the remote pump not working, the engine will rev-limit, due to low oil. You should be able to manually pull that float up, and hear/see the remote oil pump activate.

BTW, there is oil in the remote tank, isn't there?

Thanks guys figured it out, two of the connections in the rigging are identical, swapped them out, all is beautiful now!!!
