Welp, with the engines back together and working, it is getting close to launch time. A few things I still need to figure out:
1 - Storage. I really hate things at my feet so I need to “play around” with a list of things I need on the boat, tackle, number and size rods and reels, vests, food etc.... and see where all I can store stuff.
For instance, the storage under the steps to the cabin probably do not stay dry, so that stuff needs to stay sealed I am sure. The storage under the cabin seats is not as easy to get to quickly, so need to debate what I should add there.
tons of other storage options, plus need to figure...”what should I take?” I mean besides the obvious....the boat and safety stuff. May need a little extra rope etc.
2 - Fill all the tanks that hold water and run all the pumps. I know the wiper line has a small leak so need to repair that. Took some of the worn tubing from one of the cup holders to homedepot to replace that....was clogged and way worn....need to seal the wiper water lines too.
also need to throw some water in the bilge and test those, plus test the batteries...starting may not mean they are going to last.
3 - This coming weekend, if no rain, I plan to haul the boat to the local small lake ramp to get it back all the way onto the trailer, and that will tell me if the trailer is fixed.
other than that, just a USCG inspection and she is realy to fish!
Then power up the drone and go take awesome pics
