Where should I put my B60 through hull? The starboard side down low has the water pickup for the livewell. I could go a strake higher up towards the gunwale, or go on the port side.... How far from the transom?

Does your 226 have the freshwater tank located behind the fuel tank?

That's where I mounted mine. There is plenty of open bilge space to the stern of the tank.

You need to remove and replace the cover to do the job right. There really isn't enough room to work through the access port.

I see that you have the older type of layout with the forward 72 gallon tank compartment. That's where to mount your B60. Put it as far toward the stern as possible.

As far to the stern as possible would be under the outboard motor cutout- there's two access holes for the bilge and livewell pump. Room for it in there. Or are you talking about way up forward of the main tank where the aux tank would go?

Yes, I'm suggesting the forward 72 gallon tank compartment. Your stern bilge is too crowded.

If I remember correctly how the old hulls were, the rear of that compartment should be about 20 degrees, which I assume is the angle for your B20.

You should ask Grady White about this, but I'm pretty sure they'll tell you that location is good.

I installed it this weekend. Ended up on the port side, just opposite the water pick up for the livewell which is on the starboard side. I'll have to get a finished photo. I was more concerned with documenting the actual drilling into my boat. Then it was battle with the 3M 4200 followed by wrestling with channel locks through two deck access holes.
