Need to replace a worn out plexiglass windshield on my 204. Any recommendations on who can best fabricate this at a good price? Also, my current windshield is tinted, but I am thinking of replacing with clear --any thoughts either way on this are appreciated.

Thanks

Can't help you out, but please let me know if you find a place for the windshield. I am also looking for a windshield for the same model (204 Fisherman). I'll keep looking and get back to you when I find one. You can contact me at (jerrydsmithjr@aol.com). Richmond, Va.

windshield

thanks for the come back--was wondering also if you have changed out the fuel tank, steering, or drains in the transom? love the boat! lots of fishing here in NY, Long Island Sound. have 175 johnson-runs great(1999). Any problems with your seats staying fastened in the deck? Mine got spongy, and I just filled the screw holes with epoxy to see if that will work better.

Rod - We must be encountering the same issues! I am in the process of replacing my tank also. Through this link, I just sent the specs for my tank to Speedy Tanks (Speedytanks.com) and they seem very reasonable with their price, turn around time, etc. Never had an issue with the steering or seat posts. I actually have a leaning post with rocket launchers. No problems with the drains, but I did replace the scuppers with new ones from West marine. Easy job. 10 Minutes to replace all four on the transom. Haven't had the boat in the water since the replacement, so I don't know how they will work. Someone on the forum stated that they felt the flappers bought from West Marine were too stiff to their liking, but i'll have to wait and see. Mine is powered by a 2001 Johnson 150. Well pleased with the performance. Keep in touch and good luck with the windshield search.
