I have my boat on blocks and shrink wrapped in my driveway. It is wrapped tightly for winter but it occured to me that there is a large opening where the out board engines are. I was thinking of using chicken wire to block the holes. Does anyone have a better way of closing it off?

You may not need this at all, check with other owners at local marinas or driveways to see if animals are such a concern in your area. I have plenty of open areas on my boat and last one, never had an issue.

Another member reported he had something get under the motor cowling via the air intakes and chew on wiring insulation, had to reinsulate it all.
I bet you never heard of this one nor planned to wire mesh off the air intakes. I've seen shrink wrap many times go right over cowlings but figured it was to keep snow out and stretch the material properly. I didn't ask but presume it was for the stretch.

Taking a walk thru local marinas over the weekend you will find owners doing their prep work, ask them if any such problems exist, they will know.
