Does anyone know where I can get the Yamaha Pint codes or touch up for the two tones on the 2001 SWS top engine cowlings? They are the blueish metalic silver on the top and almost black /very dark blue on the main cover housing.

I will also need the clear coat.

Any help would be great.

Colorrite is supposedly the OEM supplier of paint for Yamaha.

www.colorrite.com

But be forewarned that I, as well as a few others I have spoken to, have not gotten good results from thier paints.

Thank you for the lead, I will take the warning under advisement. I only have a few small paint chips to cover and it should be better than the white primer underneath showing.

I shouldn't leave it on an all bad note. Their customer service was excellent and the rep. I spoke to about my experience with the paint indicated that was not the norm, gave me a bunch of tips and offered me a discount on my next order. Based on that, I will try the paint again if I ever need to.

Look up the part number on the yamaha web site and the last few digits is the paint code ie 08D as an example. Then go to color rite web page and find the maring paint using this code. My local Yamaha dealer stocks spray cans of the most commom colors from color rite, primer and clear coats. They also have touch up pen for popular colors
