Yamaha Computer Download Question and magic cushion cleaner?

When you do a diagnostic download on a Yamaha motor ( showing systems and hours of operation etc...)

How does it identify the specific engine? Does the report show the engine vin number or a different number?

The reason I ask is that I am looking at a new boat and they supplied me with a report on the motor but it doesnt show anything that identifies that it is the particular engine on the boat.

Also I am sure that someone has the secret weapon out there that makes vinyl cushions look great????

It doesn't.

It only has to do with the specific ECU in the motor, presuming it's the same ECU that was in there originally and wasn't moved from another boat or otherwise replaced.
