Hi all,
I just bought a 2000 Yamaha ox66 200hp engine (from Craigslist) to replace my 1989 Yamaha 175hp engine that died. I had a local mechanic mount the new engine but he did not connect the old oil tank to the new engine. The electrical connectors between the old and new for the external oil tank do not have the same plug ends and there is not an obvious place to connect the oil line. I have been looking for wiring diagrams and info on-line when I cam across this site and thought I would see if any fellow Grady owners have any info that would help.
I spoke to the local mechanic about the external oil tank not being connected and honestly I think it was over his head. He advised me to run on the small internal tank on the engine, I am not going to do that. Other shops in the area have a 5-6 week wait time before they could look at my boat which is why I am trying to resolve this myself.
Any info appreciated!
