The fuel flow and trip data fields in the lower portion on my Yamaha fuel gauge hard to read. The values are there but just hard to read. I was going to unplug and reconnect all the connectors to see if that fixes it. Hoping its not the gauge itself. Anybody else had this problem? Thanks.
The washed out look would make me think that it had been burned out by sun exposure but the speed read-out and fuel bars are perfectly formed so that, along with the fact that it is a newer gauge leads me to think that it is a defective gauge.
I've done the polarized repair (worked great) but agree with other poster likely not the issue since half gauge is fine. I should reach out to the sites provided, they should be able to give you an answer/quote.
Thanks guys. I was on the boat this morning at 5:30 am and it was 54F, the values in the lower section displayed normally, as the day went on and the sun started beating on it the they got more faint. I'll check out the hull truth links.
