Been shopping rigging for my newly acquired 200 OX66s and have a question about tachometers. I see that some have integrated hour meters and I was wondering if those hours get pulled from the engine's ECU (which I know cannot provide RPM history) or if they are maintaned by the tach itself? If the latter is there any way to adjust those hours so they match what is actually on the engines?

Thanks.

I had to replace one of mine. New one started from zero. So now I have one with no hour display, one with a ridiculously low number and my hour meter right in the middle with the "real" number. Let me know if you find a way to update the number on the new gauge.

Brian, no, it's just a non-resettable clock, non-resettable by us, perhaps resettable by Yamaha Tech.

It doesn't care if motor is running or not, just if the power is on.

It also has a trip hour meter which is resettable.

I'm not talking Command Link style, don't know about those.
