We were out at the Mud Hole, Monster Ledge, and Slogh a bit over a week ago. 1 week too soon, whales, dolphins and bait but no tuna.

I should have made that run but decided to let my Dad have his last weekend of Fluking knowing we have some storms heading our way this weekend. Grog, the BFT were there the weekend before but about 8 miles south on the JD's Lump and flats near by, if you found the whales and life you found the fish. Fish seem to slowly be moving north, also the fish to the south on the claw left and will be moving through our waters somehwere since that water got really warm very quickly. Scallop boats off N. NJ will be out soon, I think area's around the Baccardi open up this month so there may be nice fish out that way very soon if they cross path's. I know some commercial fishermen so if they are spotted when that season open's I'll be one of the first to make that run. Looks like BFT fishing from here on out unless the canyon ever gets good, this might be the worst season in 20 years for tuna at the canyons.
