I am looking to get a new boat and just trying to figure if there is that much of a difference between the two boats.... I fishing usually around the 40 to 50 mile range and was wondering if the 30 can handle that.

Should be no problem with the 306. I have the 275 tournament with single 350 and go 55 miles to the break all the time.

May upgrade to the 30 ft dual console in the future...

Had an '06 Bimini, then a 330 and now a 336. Both 306 and 336 will go out there with no problem, but bigger is always better, for me at least. I really liked the 306, but i like the 336 better, also i would love to have a 426 with twin F500's(i know, only in my dreams.............. for now).

One of them. Also get a diesel generator with freezer cooler box(es). Also you get more cockpit space, wider and longer boat, she also rides much better on a snotty day, space for more or bigger electronics(10" vs 12" displays).
Also you get A/C-heat in the cabin and at the helm, which actually works great.
