I don't know, but it looks like there should be plenty of room to negotiate on that price. Mine was a lot less than that new last year. I think they were running a 20% off special last March. Grady runs sales specials all the time.

I just checked my sales slip....the "discount" was $23K off the retail price.

There’s a 2022 in Pensacola, 23 hours, F300 ide, advertised for $149,900.
OP, that's what I'd be doing if your dealership doesn't budge significantly off that price.

As others have alluded to... I'd recommend saving yourself the $100k or so and get a boat that's a couple years old. You've got multiple 2020 and newer boats for sale from $120k on up.

And the Yamaha's typically come with 5 year warranties, so the most expensive piece is likely still covered. When I bought new last year, the out the door price I got was close enough to the late model used prices I was seeing locally that I didn't mind paying a little more to get brand new.

The retail per the dealer is 278k and 31k discount to get the 247k. My guess is it should come in around 208k so basically another 40k.

Wow! My retail just last year was a little over $200K. $180K after discounts. You sure you are looking at a 235?

Nope going to figure out if it is worth it or not and what it might be worth first. All while exploring used boats as well.
That price the dealership gave you seems way out of line. You can find some really nice late model used 235s for a lot less (If you are set on a Grady 235). I love my 235, but I would never had bought one at that price.

So pricing break down is as follows:

2025 GW 235 Freedom MSRP $213,409

Trailer $8400
White F350 FM $17345
Side Bar $2590
Lounge Seat Port $2790
Ivory Bow Shade $1740
Ivory Hardtop Aft Curtains $2045
Sure Shade Top $5555
Marine head with electric flush $3450
Anchor Windlass w/bow roller $3705
Ski Pylon $1580
Sun Platform Insert w/cushion $1010

Total price from GW with options is $263,619

Dealer installed options:

8161 XSV display (parts and labor)$7851
ST-51 Transducer (parts and labor)$1332
VHF radio 215 (parts and labor) $2507
18" dome radar GMR 18 XHD3 RADOME (parts and labor) $3196
Minnikota 36V Ipilot (parts and labor) $13893
Interphase Yamaha and Garmin (parts and labor) $1921

Parts total is $21544
Labor is 8778
Total with tax in options is $33232

All in before discount is $296,851 which is crazy. I would say at best 200-205K with options.

Looks like used will be the way to go since we are not paying 200K for this size of boat with options.

That is absurd. That is so absurd I'd be tempted to contact Grady White Corporate and ask if this looks normal. The $213K MSRP doesn't include the engine? My neighbor just got a blinged out, brand new Grady 281 Coastal Explorer for less than that.

I agree with FREEDOM!!! and his above comment, as well as more than a few things just don't add up here. First of which would be the trailer being $8,400? For a 23' boat, that seems like it's $2k-$3k more than what it should be. Second, a brand new Yamaha F350 is only $17,345? That seems like it's about half the price of what it should be, and is either a typo or they're giving you a discount on that and charging you extra on other items to make up for it. Under dealer installed options, I'm guessing that the "8161 XSV display" is actually an 8616xsv? If so, the MSRP on that is $6,200 and I can't imagine it would cost them anywhere near $7,851 for the display as well as labor, as labor alone isn't going to cost you anywhere near $1,651. I have no idea what an ST-51 transducer is and I'm assuming it's another typo for a GT-51 transducer? I'd ask for clarification on that one, although it sounds like you're going to go the used route instead. Next up would be the VHF radio 215, which is likely the Garmin VHF 215 or VHF 215 AIS, which are either $499 or $699, yet they're charging you $2,507 for it? That's absurd. MSRP on the GMR 18 XHD3 radar is an even $2k and they're again charging you an extra $1,200 just for installation? Seems quite ridiculous to me. The Minn Kota 36V IPilot is a tricky one because the pricing depends on the size of it. The lowest I see in terms of pricing is around $2,500 and the highest for the 36V with the 100" shaft is around $6k-$7k. I'm again just baffled at how they could be charging anywhere from $6k+ just for labor, and I'm hoping that is yet another typo. All in all, those prices are just frankly absurd and I'd never even entertain that kind of ridiculousness. I'd save money and go with a used boat, or buy new and install the electronics yourself. Several on here, including myself, have installed electronics before and it's really not that difficult at all. Two years ago, I installed a Garmin 943xsv on my boat and did so within about 90 minutes. The longest part was waiting for things to setup and dry, but running wiring and the "grunt work" portion of it isn't difficult at all.

Is the $17K for the 350 engine the upgrade cost over the base 300? That can't be right?

What dealer might need to call them and go get the boat.

It looks like the only two engine options for the 235 Freedom, per the Grady White website, are a single F300 or a single F350. While I can't imagine that an F350 would be $17k more than the F300, based off of recent events and the invoice from this dealership, I guess it also wouldn't surprise me that much either.
