Freedom 225, the opening under the windshield

I don't like the final snap closure piece GW gives you for sealing the opening under the windshield. I thought GW should have given more thought to a door, but I can see why they didn't. I'm doing my own with a 2 piece starboard hatch like they use on sailboats to close the cockpit. It's a work in progress and I'll post some photos when I'm done.
