I have a feeling my head vent line may have a clog. Bit of a smell even in the cold and with the tank empty for the winter. Is there a filter on the vent line that could have gotten soiled? Boat is a 2005 Marlin. Vent on the hull has a screen that I haven't taken off yet.

My Sea Ray (and all Sea Rays) had/have a filter inline with the vent line as a standard feature with the VaccuFlush head. But I don't know Grady's well enough from that standpoint to say if it's a standard feature or not. I'd be surprised if it didn't? But it's super easy to check - you can't miss it - it will be a PVC cylinder, about 2-1/2" in diameter and maybe 12" long. If it's like the Sea Rays, it's mounted on the holding tank. If not, it has to be inline with the vent so, like I said, very easy to look and see. If you don't have one, you can either buy one or very easily build one for a fraction of the cost.
