We took the curtains off the boat at the beginning of the summer and now that its fall its time to put them back on. I've pulled , tugged and I can't get them to the point where I can get them on the fasteners. The snaps are not the button type where I could use the fastener tool but the pedestal type. I remember having the same problem a year ago but I did finally get them on. Anyone have a secret on how to overcome this problem.

You have to heat up the area, like placing a radiant heater on bridge, or do it in the sun, or leave covers in car in sun to heat up them move over to boat quickly.

The vinyl gives a lot when it is warm vs. cold.

As the covers (vinyl) age over several years, they do shrink permanently. If so, may have to refit with new holes in canvas / new snaps.

Unzip any windows before you try to snap the panels in place. Provides a bit more flexibility and stretch.

Thanks guys. The wife brought down her trusty hair dryer and it worked like a charm on the curtains.
