Yup, ballyhoo are red hot. We had ALLLLLLLL of our bites on ballyhoo, not a touch on anything else in the spread. Some guys had luck with green machines and rainbow green machines, but we only had knock downs on ballyhoo last week. We even had mahi come off a log and swim by bars, feathers and jets to eat ballyhoo on the opposite side of our spread...these fish want meat!!! The few boats doing very well around us that trip were pulling a lot of ballyhoo, we saw 2 big charter boats pulling nothing but ballyhoo, half naked, half skirted. Pink was the hot color for us rigged with Joe Shutes 1oz fishfinders, and Ilander Trackers which also worked well. Fish were all 50-70lbs so there is a nice body of fish out there!!! Find the life and stick with it and you will put a nice catch together!!
