Fresh water tank maintenance

Does anyone know where there is access to the fresh water tank on a 1997 Seafarer 226? My pump will no longer prime and the tank is full and needs to be drained for winter. Not interested in using the wash down anymore but want to drain before winter. I’m told if i remove the drawer assembly from under the port seat i would have access to the pump. Is that also where i can access and drain the tank? Any advice appreciated. Thanks

There is no access to the pump through the drawer assembly on a 2000 model. Access to the pump is a pop out plate on the front of the port seat base, and the fill is a chrome cap, which looks like a gas cap, below that.

Check the screen located in-line at the pump. If clogged, pump may not prime. Had this problem with mine and the screen was all gunked up with algae slime.
