    2004 Yamaha F225 For Sale

Hey KY Grady, I came across this old thread and wondering how much you got for your 04 F225? I have almost the same engine with about 600 hours, exhaust replaced, and good compression, still running strong but thinking about repowering. Bob

    90" Garmin Kraken on 228

Jay, I'll send you a DM about mailing the template but it's really easy to make if you have a router. The template I made does not have mounting holes so you can just flip it over if installing to starboard but I'd recommend against it. It won't matter for operating at slow speed but it will...

    Helm seats

OMER, Are these seats the same height as the OEM seats? I'm 5'9" and when I'm seated now up on plane I have just enough clearance to comfortably see over the dash/bow. I saw in one of the responses there was not enough room to stand between the helm and the seat to use it as a leaning post in...

    Modern 228 helm seats?

Luckydude, I'm researching seat upgrades and came across this. FYI a Yetti / RTIC 45 qt cooler fits perfect in the space between the helm and the chair. Need to slide it out to get a beverage but and I'm able to comfortably rest one or both of my feet on it while operating the boat.

    NJ fishing reports

We left the Highlands at 6 and picked up a couple more snappers. Rolled into AP around 9. Lots of Whales and good bait but no major tuna marks, trolled till 11 and setup for chunking. About noon the deep snapper on 40 floro went off, 60ish yellowfin in the box. Just after we boated it had...

    NJ fishing reports

I fished Little Italy this afternoon, think I saw Skunk running through just as we were getting there, maybe 3 other boats. Started trolling, good marks in the middle water column but all we caught on the troll were false albacore. Started chunking / jigging a live snapper got hit but pulled...

2002 Seafarer Trolling Motor install advice

I deleted the porta potty and mounted (2) 36v / 60AH lithium batteries (in parallel) on the floor, put the on/off switch and 60 amp breaker on the port side wall next to the 1" wire hole i drilled for wiring. I installed a Monster Marine Ultimate "on the run charger" under the starboard stern...

    Seafarer 228 Electronics

I was inspired when I saw there was enough room for two 8610 xsv's. It was tight but also managed to squeeze the radio in the top compartment too.

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

Thanks for explaining. I went with a custom fold down that locks together when up and down. I'm still about 8" under the 13' 6" DOT limit so it's always on the roof and seems very solid

    Giant blue fin

Nice boat. I met you briefly one morning as we were heading out and I'll say say hi the next time I see you. We have house in Nags we rent all summer so I'm there spring and fall when it's vacant. I keep my boat in OC MD in the summer but not moving it until after Memorial day.

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

I have the same question and don't understand how it could be the same height. Does the crows nest fold or is it removable for trailering?

    Insulation

I dont catch a much as Mr Skunk but the insulation just sits on top of the ice and cleans up easy. I actually don't cut it to fit, I just fold it over a couple few times for thickness and the extra width helps seal. I usually get a full season out of a piece before I chuck it and a roll goes...
