Had some beers and Bluefin with my mechanic the other day and I asked him about this technology. They are a dealer and have installed a few with great feedback. Anyone on here have real world experience running one of these systems. Not the gyro system, the interceptor blade types.
Thinking they...
Seems like too much weight back there. Probably designed for 2x 200 2 stokes at less than 500lb each vs 2x225 Hondas at 630 each. Check the thermostat in the block for corrosion and the mid shaft bearings.
So, I was at a tournament party a few days ago. My neighbor is looking for a tank fabricator for 2 saddle tanks for his 25 SeaVee inboard. I asked a well known Carolina custom builder who he might suggest. He said he’s switched to Mueller plastic tanks on all his builds and refits. He builds...
I just sent my old ones to Lynn at A&J Canvas in NC. She’s making me new ones at a good price and supposedly a 2 week turnaround. I will report back once I get them/install them. Wanted white but wife wanted blue.
Skunk- as usual Thanks for the spot on 265 info. I would love a solid front that I could pin the center back. Where did you mount the pins to pin it to? Actually, I’d like to be able to pin my sides and back as well, wouldn’t they interfere with the life jacket storage? Any pics of them pinned...
I actually got a nice set of 22’ Lee’s poles off a 25 Carolina Classic with spreaders but don’t like the way the spreader wire hits the hardtop edge. I could fab some extensions for those hardtop hooks , though. Also gonna fab some backing plates for the wishbone bolts under the bolsters. Anyone...
I’m thinking about replacing my Stock original Lee’s poles. Looks like they’re 18’. Lees has 18.5, 19.5, or 22.5.
Anyone running any longer than stock poles into the stock wishbone bases? What size would you go with?
TIA
I did it this way with 2 motor hoists. FYI- make sure those hoists are holding pressure. We left them hanging overnight as we ran out of daylight and the next morning one has slowly lost pressure and my starboard motor was pretty much hanging by the control cables. other than that, easy Peezy.
Pretty interesting he turns the wheel a bit then leaves it. I have to back out of my lift, then spin it in a very narrow creek, maybe 35 wide. Creek faces due North, and a hard south on my stern is a bear, been in the weeds a few times
