Have you Installed Bennett SLT10 on Spirit

I'm guessing probably not. The 175 Spirit appears to have been discontinued after 1997, which was almost 30 years ago, and it doesn't seem to be a very popular boat on here as it's only 17' in length. Also, per the brochure for the 1997 model year at least, it doesn't show that trim tabs were...

1994 Spirit 175 Lists to Port

Why would a 1994 Spirit 175, w/Yamaha 115 TLRS list to hard to port? I figure it will take trim tabs to resolve. The engine trim anode is set dead center; no tests performed modifying it. List is noticeable at ~30 mph and on plane. No noticeable pull observed in steering. The owner claimed...

    Spirit 175 Trim Tabs

Our first Grady was the Spirit and we intended to add tabs and never got around to it. For good advice, suggest you contact either Grady or Bennet trim tabs directly. Over on the THT forum, Bennet has a poster by the name of 'tabman' who is very helpful. If you haven't had them before, tabs are...

    Spirit 175 Trim Tabs

Has anyone had any luck installing trim tabs on a 175 Spirit? If so, can you tell me the specific size and model you used. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.

    Tips about a 175 Spirit

Welcome to the forum. I'm not much help on the technical issues, but I can comment on power. I had a 1992 Spirit 175 that we bought new. It had a 90 hp Johnson carbed, two-stroke. That power was adequate, but not great. I think a 115 two-stroke would have been perfect. Not sure I would have...

    repower 1993 Spirit 17

I have a 92 Spirit 17 with a Yamaha 115 4 stroke and do not have any issues with performance. I too do not have trim tabs on my boat. The Spirit handles the 4 stroke just fine at any speed. Any boat will porpoise if you don't trim right.

    repower 1993 Spirit 17

Greetings all: This is my first post so thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have on the following: I am considering re-powering my 1993 GW Spirit 17, The boat has a 1993 Yamaha (2 stroke) 115 HP (great motor!) and I would like to rig a new Yamaha of same HP. As best I can tell, the...

    Grady White Spirit 175

A former Spirit owner here. We had a 1992 - our first Grady. We had great times on that boat. Even took her to Bimini, twice. She ran okay in up to a 2' chop. Anything more than that and you have to slow to plowing speed. I did not have trim tabs, but in my experiences since, I think they would...

    180 vs 209

F18: Welcome to site and congratulations on a first post. I'll offer my related experience. Our first Grady was the Spirit 175. It was 17'5" and it was the precursor to the 17'10" Sportsman 180. We had great times on that boat, including two crossings to Bimini. Second boat was a 208...

    Purchasing a 1995 Spirit 175 CC

Pete: Our first Grady was a '92 Spirit 175 with a Johnson 90 on it. We used the heck out of that boat and had great times. We did mostly near shore trolling (1 - 10 miles out) and tried to keep to days with seas 3' or less. We made two trips to Bimini in that boat. On one return trip, we were...
