Sailfish 282 Deck Drain Hose Cutting Access Hole

I know this is an old thread, but exactly the information needed for Marlin Deck Drains. Could not see how to buy on Marine Town but found the same part on Boat Outfitters with GW Customer Reviews, so know it should be correct...

Donate to the site and Get a Grady White Brochure!

Done, sorry if I missed it a year ago, but it came up as active Post, glad to support. This site has helped me a lot with so many experienced Grady owners. A 2005 Brochure would be cool to archive if/when I ever sell, but not absolute. But, like Seafarer said, glad to help.

    Gulf Maps

Hey Andrew, just saw this pop up on my email. Not many on here connect on the TX forum and I have not been on Great Grady in sometime. Glad to share some information. As stated above, fish out of CC Packery Channel, but all the spots triangulate with Port A. If you are out of Houston, may...

Glad to donate, this site has helped me tremendously with GW stuff. I tried to donate, but it threw an error on the PayPal:

    Sailfish Autopilot Component Locations

As noted in the other post in General, I had a SS Bracket made at a sheet metal shop and mounted on the bulkhead under the helm. Used a Hose Kit, think they are fairly short 24-30", worked well. Yes, it is exposed a little more to air, but still under the helm and T-Top. Mounted the...

    Sailfish Autopilot Component Locations

There is a similar post for a Marlin on here. I replied to that. Your Sailfish probably has the same amount of space under helm as Marlin where I ended up mounting to shorten the hydraulic hoses that came in a kit. Mounted the Controller under there too. Of course, it is exposed a little...

    2004 Marlin Autopilot suggestions

Had a similar need on my Marlin, went with the Simrad AP48, NAC-3, RPU160 pump, and the Precision-9 heading sensor. I went to a sheet metal shop, had a SS bracket made with gusset, used some rubber gasket material between pump and back. Hung on the back of the bulkhead under the helm and...

    The New Guy

In south TX, CC myself. 2005 Marlin and the water gauge is about the only thing that did not work, as they said, just fill her up each trip. I use some of that Fresh Water stuff from West Marine to help.

    ProMariner died 300 Marlin

I replaced my OEM Guest with DualPro, you might look at these, had the 15A Dual for 4 batteries, 2 banks parallel. Closest match to original. Made in USA, been solid after a couple years. I have a 3 bank version on an older bay boat, still going after many years. Yes, it will cost you more...

    Marlin Fresh Water Tank

I have a 2005, Fiberglass I believe? I thought about replacing mine too, but just make sure it is filled up each trip, never ran it dry fishing all day washing deck, etc.

    Bleeding Simrad RPU160

I have the same pump, but never totally drained the hydraulic fluid when added my AP. I literally had to suspend a bottle above helm fill and leave it for several days, constantly working the wheel back and forth until the bubbles came up. Also ran the pump back and forth to purge. It will...

    Under Water Lights

Not a Sailfish, but Marlin, used Stern Pads w/ 3M adhesive, don't like holes. Lumitecs like yours, multi color. They have been on since 2019, on transom just below water line between tow hooks and motors. Ran wires up into the wash box and thru the hole already there for transducer.

THT is like many online product review posts, you have to weed thru the noise. Agree with the comments here. I will say, there is an outstanding guy, Abbor, in Electronics forum that has helped me with very technical Navico issues. He works in development with the OEM's. Also, THT helped me...

Possibility of making an "open forum" for non - Grady White topics of conversation?

I am sure the Site Ower could easily create a few more categories, but even with the regional Grady forum, I see very few posts in the Texas Grady area for example. Not sure there is enough users (bandwidth) on here to get a volume of diversity? I need to let my wife know there is more to life...

    Marlin transducer flats

Rob, yes, 20 deg, and I believe the Grady Dealer put in the middle. I am running Lowrance HDS Live Units, been very happy with the Navico stuff, but saved a few bucks from Simrad. the 1000 watt will be better, BOE talked me into the High & Wide and it is great B175HW. Depending on your depth...

    Marlin transducer flats

I have a 2005 also, they are big enough for the large 3-3/4" in hull B175 Airmar ducers. I have one on each side 20 deg angle. They are great, hold bottom at speed. 6 x 10 sounds about right.

    How does beam affect ride?

Lucky, you are sure putting more thought into it than I ever did going to a Marlin. Making me rethink my decision? Gulf of Mexico is much different than Pacific, and I am glad to have for 3' x 5 seconds. I was sold on the fact I never felt scared as a kid in a smaller Grady Cuddy, and I...

    Sink Fittings

I had to replace some as well. OEM for GW was Scandvik. I bought some extras and other parts like cockpit sprayer. They sell replacement parts to public, but others new fixtures go thru their dealers. https://www.scandvik.com/index.cfm?method=products_detail&productID=204
