    232 Gulf Stream Helm seats

Following. I'm looking to replace the base of a grady ladder back chair. flip seats look great however my 3rd passenger stands and holds on the the handles on the seats so without it they will lean and push the back into me driving. Happened on my last boat and was annoying.

    90" Garmin Kraken on 228

You can put a hinge on the bowrail and it will almost look uncut. I did on mine.

    Rocker switches

My Grady has different stock switches, they are 4 pins not 3 like the ones above. Not sure those will work with the breakers. I'm not expert but I found Blue Seas versions with the 4 pins on Amazon.

Adventure Marine High Thrust kicker bracket

Post some photos if you can. The motor tilts right so you can compensate for the angle I imagine. Hard to say without seeing it.

What year is this Yamaha Outboard?

Oh interesting. Thanks for checking KY! That's interesting the dealer keeps track of maintenance, I had no idea Yamaha did. Similar to Toyota, you can type in a VIN and they'll tell you the history online for free. Based on the info you posted above and how this outboard got into this...

What year is this Yamaha Outboard?

I saw that. It's not helpful in this case because the date sticker was totally missing and it's post 2005. KY solved it. Yamaha does repeat the letter codes but if you know 250's started in 2005 that was a clue, otherwise I thought it could have been a 2004 "C" code.

What year is this Yamaha Outboard?

Thanks. You have the 4.2L. That lightweight with extra power. would be so nice. The seller says it's a 2012 but even he wasn't sure. It's the same engine from 2011 or 2012 as far as I can tell. Maybe the same going back as far as 2005 (first year of F250)? The only change maybe the exhaust fix...

What year is this Yamaha Outboard?

Thanks KY. You always go above and beyond. My dealer said call Yamaha. That’s good to me. I can’t find any information from Yamaha saying it’s been updated from 2005 to 2012 besides the exhaust issue I wonder what has changed.

What year is this Yamaha Outboard?

Hi guys I’m thinking of purchasing this used F250 from a private seller but we’re both unsure of the year. The manufacturer date is unreadableZ I’ve done searches but post 2005 it’s confusing. Is the forward vent in the lower unit a clue? I haven't seen that on my earlier v6. model number...

    Threads for 228 baitwell tube?

Is very hard to find I replaced mine last year. I got it from T&H marine. Never thought about asking the dealer that would’ve been easier.

    Seafarer 228 RPM and MPH

The fuel burn was much worse per the yamaha guauge , I also was told by Ken and other people that 4 blade won't give you better fuel numbers. Isn't less slip what the 4 blade gives you? Prop slip is what your car doesn't have so it's not a perfect analogy. Less slip could me more efficiently I...

    Seafarer 228 RPM and MPH

I ran aground in the dark and dinged the leading edge of my stock M17 prop. Was looking for a 4 blade spare. After trying 2 props, both way off I'm back asking if anyone has a 4blade they like or is there anything better than the 3 blade stainless M17? (it's near perfect for me). Maybe I should...

Deck drain ports located at waterline...water coming into the cockpit

I started a thread right before you about the same thing. Ball scuppers attached to the outside would solve you issue. https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/ping-pong-ball-flow-max-scuppers.36159/#post-252490 LIke others have said it's only an issue when the fuel is full and a person is fishing in...

Deck drain ports located at waterline...water coming into the cockpit

I'm currently trying to solve the same issue with ping pong ball scruppers. Design flaw. Physics and gravity are pretty predictiable. Other boats I've had never did this and have more freeboard. The Seafarer needs a higher deck and higher gunnels.

Ping Pong ball flow max scuppers

Looks like Sea Choice makes some big 3" ball scuppers but they don't have the twist lock clean out feature. They would have to be screwed to remove then resealed which sounds like a pain. Plus I don't like that brand. https://amzn.to/43UXUGX The ring idea sound pretty good! I have bottom paint...

Ping Pong ball flow max scuppers

I should look for bigger, diameter ones that would be a timesaver. Not sure they exist. I got these on the closeout deal and they actually match the hull.

Ping Pong ball flow max scuppers

Great idea with the rings Dennis. I have brand new flappers, so they’re not gonna get any better than they are. They’re pretty much underwater a lot of the time because of all the weight. I may try that with the starboard rings. Definitely don’t want to drill into the bronze thru hulls in case...
