+1.....we had the same issue on our 282 and raised fill off the deck....problem solved. Took forever to figure it out.

On our 282, I installed a system on the ceiling of the aft cabin for my trolling rods. My rods are 5'9" long, so they just fit. The 6 rods hang perfectly and out of the way. I set up the tracks that every other rod faced opposite directions to maximized space.

We have Jr Wishbones with 19' aluminum poles. We also worked with them on a design to snap the poles to the hard top so they don't bang......awesome set up.

We are looking into it. They are currently doing demo rides in our area. The guy I talked to about it said they were looking to make brackets to cover the tab pockets so no glassing would be required. I will have to follow up with him to see if they have come up with a solution. I would rather...

There is no good spot. We kept ours in the cabin, then tried to find somewhere to keep it. never found a good spot. Shift gears and roof mounted in a hard case.

I think there's a set screw on the back side closest to the wind shield.

Ram mount for phone. Never had an issue with it in rough seas. I mounted a virb under the lip of my hard top looking over the cockpit. The virb interfaces with my instruments and we can actually control it from the helm

We always screw the starboard in. Counter sink the holes so the screws are flush. Easy to come off if you want to mount something in the future.

I hope all goes well with transom repair. We love the Zukes and fly by wire. run great, perform better and more efficient than our old 250 Yammies

added....it is just grey tubing. the starboard plate was added for the mounting. Works great

We have our spot on the front pulpit. There is conduit mounted underneath the pulpit to allow the cable to be pulled through to the light.

My two cents....I like it in the helm, down my steps and in my aft cabin. I didn't want it for fishing as scrubbing the cockpit is much easier to clean blood etc on the original fiberglass deck.

After a discussion with the battery guys, Lithium Ion batteries are different and you need to change the mindset of how we have traditionally charged. The long and short is yoiu do not trickle charge....you discharge as much as possible to preserve the life of the batteries. our plan is to store...

I wanted to share the last thing we did for this set-up and that was the RAM mount to hold the trolling motor in place. We bought new clamps for the rail and shaft of motor using the body of the mount Rhodan shipped to us.
