    Fuel economy query....282 Sailfish...

We had 250's on our 282 and the best fuel burn will be at the cruising at around 4200 rpms. You will get a little better at 4000, but not significant. Our typical burn was around 1.6. We just recently repowered her with Suzuki 300's and it appears we will get better fuel economy with those...

    2001 282 w/f250's...prop size

We had 250's on a 2007 Sailfish, 15 1/4 x 19 3 blade props. Same numbers as you posted above. We'd run 5900 WOT and get about 47 mph. Loved to cruise at 4200-4400 rpm to get around a 1.6 mpg burn. Trim up a little more and you will get a little more speed.

    Sailfish 282 Electronics Upgrade

We did a total upgrade when we purchased our 2007 282. We went with Garmin 7610's, Garmin GMR 18 xHD radar, Simrad AP24 autopilot. We used the GT51M-TH transducer for chirp/down view and side view. Our installer was excellent and was very meticulous with the setup. In order for the side view to...

    282 sailfish

We have a 2007 Sailfish 282 with twin Yamaha 250's and absolutely love it. We have owned a wide variety of boats from a 17 foot runabout to a 40 foot sportfisherman. We bought this boat last year to be able to make runs off the shoreline of NC out to the gulfstream to fish (60+ miles), yet run...

AIS Capable VHF and Garmin 7610vsx

We just hooked up the Standard Horizon 2200 up to our 7610. Everything worked fine. Need to make sure to use the input wires to the 0183 port and turn the baud rate up to high speed on both the radio and the Garmin unit.
