    Do not buy Lowrance

And, you will have to go into the sonar menu and choose which frequency you want to run. I’m pretty sure that sonar menu would also tell you what model number transducer is connected to your unit, regardless of the condition of the mount, or the placement of the tag. If your boat was in the...

Question re power at the dock

From the title, thought you were trying to replace your engine at the dock. Are you sure that you don’t have that outlet on your dock box?

Motor Refit Suggestions for 19 Tournament

Agree with Parthery, for what you will pay for a new transom, may be time to cut loose. Several GWs in your area, maybe even upgrade to a 22. I said I would never buy another 2 stroke, but I did it anyway, when boats were scarce a few years ago...

Live well won't work, 2002 GW Tournament 192

I am guessing that those random fills occur when you are moving above a certain speed, and the water is being forced through the open seacock, rather than the pump running. Livewell pump should be a rocker switch/breaker on your dash, if you can still read them.

    Repowered my seafarer 228!!

What made you decide to go with the tiller, rather than tie the kicker to the main?

NJ Offshore Wind Farms Pros/Cons/Conspiracy theories

I don't think that they are blasting, as in explosives, but they are surveying the ocean floor for suitable sites, by blasting sonar waves that interfere with the mammals' ability to communicate and/or navigate. Or, it gives them migraines that finally make them say, "F this, I would rather be...

Most common problem is the #7 latch assembly breaks.

    Draining the Drive bracket

Foam will prevent you from getting to the bottom mounting bolts on your motor. For $3-$5 you can go in just about any thrift shop, and buy yoga exercise balls. Good volume, pretty tough, and conform to shape. That’s what I stuff up into the front and rear of a canoe or kayak.

Cleaning the bilge ... Fisherman 216

Easiest way to disconnect the pumps is to pull the fuses, which is an in-line fuse on a brown wire, within a few inches of either the battery, or the battery switch.

    Replacing pump out valve

You also need to be aware of possible differences in the threads, especially if you mix brands. You are definitely going to have straight threads on the through hull, but I would expect to find straight threads on the bottom of a sea cock, or a through hull flange, such as pictured in your third...

Cleaning the bilge ... Fisherman 216

Let’s say you mix up 5 gallons and dump it in your bilge. The only way that it works, by sloshing around into places that you can’t reach, is if you turn off the automatic feature on your bilge pump. Therefore, the safest way to do this is when you are trailering your boat, not when you are...

    Replacing pump out valve

First off, why are you replacing what is there? If it is because it has turned green, green is a good thing. I was thinking that my seafarer had a seacock, but it is in fact, just a an unsupported ball valve, like yours.

    Ladder Back seats for sale.

He has two post in 2021, and two on this thread, so he is not a frequent reader, by any means. Probably posted on multiple sites, including craigslist, and Facebook market, and didn’t keep up with responses once they were sold.

KYG, you have an F250, and I have an OX225, but I am curious whether your lower unit is clear of the water when tilted up in the third hole.

    265 Capsized of Jersey Coast

I don’t think there is any financial incentive for towboat to be digging around to determine the cause of sinking. We all know how hard it is to check the hoses and through hulls on a Grady White. The insurance company, and their surveyor will probably get to that.

    bolster foam

I think that I used 992 out of a pack of 1000. 3/8 inch, and an electric stapler worked fine for me. OP is not using a sewing machine, or mesh along the bottom of the bolster, but a couple of tips for anyone using this as a reference thread in the future. Phifertex does not stretch like...
