    Windless problem

Well after a lot of trouble shooting you will not believe what the problem was. The circuit breaker had tripped. Nothing like making a 30 second fix turn into a 4 day job! Damn you would have thought I was smart enough to check that first! It is embarrassing!

    Windless problem

Is the solenoid the black box next to the windless? If so I get no voltage indication.

    Windless problem

Yesterday when bringing up my anchor on my Marlin 300 the windless sort of ran out of umph. I checked the batteries and the terminals and the batteries all show charged. And the connections looked good. I am at a loss, I can hear the clicking of the solenoid when I hit the switches. Any...

    coustom covers

Covers I learned the hard way on my Sailfish what needs to be covered to protect from the sun. I had covers made for my bolsters, entry access, helm and helm chairs for the marlin. Those were the are areas that the sun ate up. I had Keith at Dockside Canvas make them for me. Paid less than...

    Best filet knife

fish knives I'd go cheap, loose too many overboard, guess I fish with too many rookies. I'd ask "where is the knife?" Someone would say "Oops, it slipped out of my hand and went blub."

    Changing fuel water separators

Okay guys, I got fed up with the difficult access to my Marlin to change the fuel water separators so I modified my boat. I added an access panel just in front of the access panel under the back seat. So instead of squeezing my body into the original access panel and having to reach way back...

New Boat - what will it take for you to buy one?

New boat? I am with you guys for the most part. I started out with a 22 Seafarer, needed more boat and two engines so I traded up to the Sailfish. 7 years later we got foot-itus, we were not comfortable on overnighters of more than one night. Now my Marlin does 100% of what I want out of my...

Seeking Advise on Grady White Boat

300 Marlin Megabites, thanks for the pictures of your center rigger plan. I have added to mine also, mostly changes that I recommended to Grady White. I changed how my outriggers come down to get under a bridge, I modified them to pivot down and pin them to the hard top to get under the...

Seeking Advise on Grady White Boat

Sailfish vs Marlin I have owned both boats new, 2000 Sailfish, 2007 Marlin. The Sailfish was a great fishing boat but it was not comfortable more for than one night on over nighters. My wife and I bumped into each other in the V berth and the under berth was too small for me, and the wife did...

    Center Rigger on Marlin 300

I have a 2007 Marlin 300 and just added a center rigger to the boat and am wondering what is the best location to hook the bungie to. I saw what Sally Ann did, but I have rocket launchers that could be in the way. Al
