    Towing a 282 Sailfish

The beam is 9'6". It might be a case of the tail wagging the dog. Not sure I would want to tow that 300 miles with an F150 every time I wanted to go fishing.

    Towing a 282 Sailfish

Go slow and don't tailgate. That is what I tell myself and follow. I go 65 MPH on the interstate and just take it easy. You won't have any problems.

Hello from Texas - soon to be a GW owner

FWIW, I have used surveyors 3 times in the last couple of years. What I did to reduce the fee was to ask them to not give a complete detailed survey, but to look specifically at the issues relating to the transom, floors, hatches etc. I did not need a written report, but their evaluation along...

Hello from Texas - soon to be a GW owner

Russ, If you are considering the 258, the beam is only 8'6", so trailering would be a non issue. That is one of the reasons why the 248 appealed to me, since it is strictly a "trailer" boat. Best of luck. Pretty exciting stuff. I just got the 248 10 days ago, so I know the feeling.

    Replacing GW Switches

LIG, I am still considering the carbon fiber vinyl wrap over the old panel. My switches all work and don't look bad. I just have not come up with a good way to label each switch. To me that is where it gets difficult to get everything symmetrical and looking the way it would if professionally...

    Rebuild Twin 2006 F250TXR

Several years ago I used Chris Carson. I think he is in the Keys? He has been in the rebuilding business for many years and would give a warranty. He was easy to work with and I was satisfied with the results. You should be able to google him I would think.
