Seasick thanks for looking into this. I am thinking the best option is to order the correct or newer gauge, pn 6Y5-8350T-D0-00 . thoughts?? from reading I think this new gauge should plug right in to my existing harnesses.

Does having the bar over the oil icon mean I have oil pressure or that my oil pressure is low ?

Need some help in figuring this out, Ive tried the internet but no success. My boat is a 1997 228 with a 2002 F225 My question is related the the Yamaha dash gauges. I was able to speak with the previous owner and he says these gauges were for the old 2 stroke that was previously on the boat...

Your location is a key component. Looking at your pics (nice looking boat), and yes it has been sitting and will need some $. But CA that is 20K+ boat. IMO
