Explorer 24 looking live we’ll drain part

I used 5200 and a stainless fitting because I never plan to remove the fitting from the boat. The 90 deg elbow screws on and off of the bottom of the fitting if I ever want to change the hose to the scupper. I screw the elbow on with white silicone so it will seal and also be able to be removed...

Anyone add a 2nd Bilge pump in the stern of their boat?

I made a bracket out of stainless steel that screws to the transom or stringer with the float and the pump mounted to it. It makes it easy to unbolt the bracket and remove the whole assembly to service or rewire. It also keeps the float and pump at the same elevation and your float or pump is...

    Hummingbird to Garmin waypoint transfer

Thank you doc!!! I figured out to download java so I could download hum pc. It read and saved just like you said. Now I am going to have to pick up another sd card tomorrow for the waypoints to transfer to for the Garmin. I will let you know how it goes.

Check the diameter since some gradys have a slightly smaller recess. I shaved mine down just a little and it was perfect. Bedded it with 5200 and smoothed it out with my finger with rubbing alcohol.

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

Nice. . The wire is part of the coil, but the coil ens with the resistor is sold separately. These are the Yamaha part numbers you need. Are 61a-85570-00-00 (coil) and 6e3-82370-21-00 for the resistor end. It is probably just the coil that is bad, but you can replace both of you want to be on...

If you switch 6 coil with 4 and then pull the wires while running. See if 4 is dead or is thill firing.also, if it is not firing, a timing light will not light.

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

I usually pull the plug wires off between 1200-1800 rpms in gear to diagnose which cylinder is not at full power on all models. Easy to compare each cylinder ‘s performance. Plastic ignition pliers work the best.

    Hummingbird to Garmin waypoint transfer

I have an older hummingbird 998c that I am replacing with a new Garmin echomap plus 94sv chart plotter and I was having problems figuring out how to transfer the waypoints. I copied the waypoints from the hummingbird onto a sd card but the format has to be changed somehow so it can be loaded...

There are some sink drains out there that match what you are lookin for. I replaced my well drains and deck drains with sink drains. I used metal ones.

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

The plastic plier test (pulling the plug wires off one by one) works best when you idle up the motor while under a load in gear. The higher the rpm, the more evident the problem is. If you clean the plugs, switch 4 and 6 injector, see if the problem moves. If 4 plug is still burning good, then...

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

I have had the best luck with oem OMC fuel hose. It is about 8 bucks a foot, I have been putting it in customers boats for years without 1 complaint. I’ve had the same fuel hose in my boat for over 10 years and it is still in excellent shape. I usually install 5/16 inch to a Yamaha like yours.

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

Oh. Didn’t see your last post. I have had some problems with the Yamaha grey hose turning to jelly and collapsing when suction is applied and when you pump the ball, it blows it back up and feeds just fine. Then the fuel pump sucks it down again real soon. Also if the racor is sucking air at the...

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

Maybe hook up the test tank hose to the feed hose where it comes out of the main tank. This will test all the plumbing in the boat. If it surges, Then most likely you have a collapsed fuel feed hose. If not, you either have bad gas or a blockage in the fuel pickup.

    '93 Seafarer

Those Yamahas don’t have the technology to plug in for the hours. Since there is bottom paint on it, I would check for corrosion issues on the lower unit and especially the trim unit from sitting in the water. The transom also takes a hit if all the screw holes under the waterline aren’t sealed...

1997 175 Merc Offshore Trim Motor Replacement

The ram will rotate down just fine. Just crack the cap loose before you take out the top trim pin. The ram will slide out of the cylinder easily if you open the trim release screw. Some rams have a bolt and some have a nut at the bottom. Just place the bolt or nut in the vise and stick a long...
