How to clean this, any ideas?

I think it may be too far gone to clean up. It looks pitted . Try the vinegar as suggested and see what happens but I don't expect a big improvement. I have had some luck with similar cases by sanding off the corrosion right down to the base metal and then priming and painting the arm, You can...

    330 Express Boat Stands

Cribbing can be 6 x 6 PT lumber or similar. Stands can be ordered online but shipping can be expensive. Many marine stores will have or order them. That may cost more initially but if they ship to store you shouldn't have to pay shipping. The size and type of stands depend on a few factors...

    Trailer Rebuild

Remember that steel trailers rot from the inside out, so be sure to do some tapping on the frame rails, tongue and cross members to see if the metal is compromised. You should rewire if the current lights are original. Changing from 13 to 14 inch wheels and 3700 pound axels will mean new hubs...

What is clear film peeling on hull?

Interesting thought but I am not sure id the wrap would leave a clear film. I s the film like a tape that can be stretched or torn or is it more like a liquid that dried out into a this coating . I really don't know what it is but am interested in hearing what you find out.

    WTB Adventure 208

You can carry 6 persons seated. They may get wet as mentioned. If you are planning on fishing, 3 people is doable, 4 is difficult. I also think the 150 will be hard pressed with 5 people but I suppose that may or may not be an issue for your applications.

What is clear film peeling on hull?

I would expect the film to be colored if it were gel coat. I am wondering if the hull was not cleaned correctly when it was unmolded. The film may be release agent that is applied to the mold to reduce sticking of the hull during glass layup. You can try wiping the area with hull dewaxer to see...

    WTB Adventure 208

What is a number of people? The 208, a great small boat is really a small boat. Although it can handle seas rougher than you might want to ride, it is not suitable for ALL kinds of weather. It will rock and roll and can pound quite significantly in rough seas. In certain conditions, like head...

Windlass anchor rope “rode” tangling/jam fix?

I have had no luck with colored tape or chord woven into the line. The windlass sprocket eats up the markers. Spray paint seems to hold up longer but still doesn't last forever. Try the paint but run a narrow piece of masking tape and spray around it for the first mark. For the second mark, use 3...

    OX66 225 over heats

I reread your first post. If you didn't overheat before you replaced the impeller and housing but do overheat now, something got messed up during the pump rebuild. It could be several things, like a spun impeller. the wrong impeller, wrong order or missing gasket/wear plate, impeller rotated the...

    Bennett Trim Tab Not Retracting

What does it mean "Stops trying at 2 units"? When it 'stops' is the pump motor still running? If so, your problem is not the switch. I would try to pull the tab up manually while someone is pressing the switch. You might be able to use a boat hook to pull it. In addition to a bad actuator, or a...

Replacing fuel line in 1998 Adventure 208

Which line? Tank to primer bulb? Tank filler hose? If tank pickup 8 feet is definitely too short. 10 feet is probably too short also I recently replaced mine (2001 hull) and to be honest, the first length that I tried was too short. I typically order a spool of 25 feet and whatever is left...

I'd like to replace original Helm Steering to a Tilt Unit

If you look closely, at the instructions, you will see insert A1 which shows the bolt you have to remove to separate the tilt mechanism from the steering box. The steering box has a tab with a hole for the bolt and not a standard 3/4 inch tapered shaft. In this example, the base is different...

I'd like to replace original Helm Steering to a Tilt Unit

Based on the boat model. I think all the boat has is mechanical rotary steering unit, maybe NFB, maybe not. Therefore there is no hydraulics and no pumps.
