Oil feed sensors on Grady 272

I don't think its that simple. The bars tell you not only that there is low oil but also which tank is low. Of course if the main is low you will get a critical alarm condition

    Replacing batteries

Does it list to port at rest or when at speed? If at rest, the tabs are not going to correct that. If at speed the tabs will help a lot. Just don't over tab. Try a little left up bow switch, maybe hold for 2 or 3 seconds and see how hull reacts, The trin needed or not needed will change as speed...

    FP 4200 Starting Problem

Odd that the clearance would get smaller but great that you isolated and fixed it. I have to add that one to my list of "who wudda thunk" notes.

Refrigerator - AC Only or AC & Battery

Most newer and a lot of older) DC fridges have protection logic that will shut off the fridge if battery voltage drops below a specific level

    Windshield Wipers replacement

I am not sure if the bayonets' are correct. Are they stainless steel? List time I ordered ANCO 52s they had mounts for the screw only, no hook adapter.

    Replacing batteries

I would switch to BOTH for a while to give the dead battery a little charge. On some motors, if the voltage is too low, weird things can happen. In addition, and I may be wrong here, I think that an alternator needs some battery juice to charge and if the 'dead' battery is too low, the...

    Windshield Wipers replacement

If there are set screws, you need to loosen them. Pulling the arms can be tricky or difficult. You need to apply somewhat even pressure under the bottom edge of the arm socket. If you are definitely going to replace the arms and are a risk taker, you can use a channel lock pliers on the socket...

New Fisherman 222 Owner with a trailer/hull position question

What is the make and model of the trailer? It may be a bit longer than it should. If the trailer is a roller model, the boat can be pulled forward using the winch. With bunks, maybe, maybe not) You may want to block the tongue when winching up the hull just incase the jack decides to fail. I...

Re Engine Time for 1986 Overnighter?

The 150 may be heavier than your old 2 stroke motor and if so, performance would be affected. Regarding the tilt mechanism; Did you actually fine new unit in stock? I am surprised if you did. A third option would be to try and locate a used one. It's a bit risky but will be less costly by far...

    Ok to use in A 2001 Yamaha OX66 225

Without that spec listed, I wouldn't use it. Perhaps there is additional info on the manufacturer's website

    Engine woes...

Sounds like one motor has an air leak in the fuel plumbing. If you can, take a look at the clear gas bowl and filter on the engine when the problem occurs. It should be mostly full. If it is empty or completely full, there is a leak. If those filters were changed for the season, remove the bowls...

Oil feed sensors on Grady 272

That link didn't copy and at the moment I can't find it. Try this link to a later manual. Look at page 17 and after for different gauge options. See if you can find yours and then read about the meaning of the sysmbols. https://outboards.yamaha-owners-manuals.com/om/LIT-18626-06-98.pdf

Oil feed sensors on Grady 272

Sorry, info on gauges is in the Yamaha Owners manual for your motor. Here is a link to a SX 150 manual. See if you can match up your gauge to one in the manual. Go to Chapter 3, operation.

Oil feed sensors on Grady 272

Haha.. I think the let the dots you are referring to are circles that may be filled in or not are not levels, they indicate the status of the oil tanks. On older gauges there may be colors on the faceplate. On later model gauges you will have grey dots. There should be symbols above( or is it...

Oil feed sensors on Grady 272

Yup. that's how I understand the system to work, so I still don't understand what the OP is referring to. Both the senders in the main and remote tank don't measure levels per se but rather specific points like low.

    HEADACHE

That's true about using a bucket. One humorous statistic about peeing overboard is that a decent percentage of Man Overboard events occur when peeing over the gunnel:)

    Inoperable fuel gauge

Is the 'Boat Screen" the multi-function Command Link system monitor (6Y9 I think)? It sounds like the sender signal is not present. if you have the system display, it may need to be reprogrammed. ( But why would it have changed???) I agree that you should go back to the shop that did the service,.
