    Update on cabin rod-racks.

CaptBill, got the envelope safe and sound. These racks are big! :jaw But should not be a problem for fitup. I held them up to cabin wall and looks like no issue for fitup. Sure wish someone still had the pics available to get a good eye on placement and details..... I re-read this post...

    Replacing access doors

I have to say that the Shurhold system is amazing. When I first got the boat, it was very dull of course and the white chalking was all over. It is very easy to handle their polisher, no way to burn or damage the finish and just load up the wool pad with buff magic and go to town. It just glides...

    Replacing access doors

If you need to polish the doors due to stains/dullness, I used the Buff Magic and polisher with great success. Doors look like new.

    Update on cabin rod-racks.

Capt Bill, sent you a PM! Storm force me to do the first long tow 3 hours from Morehead City to Raleigh. She is a rig for sure to tow, but all went well! Just one broken bow ratchet strap! It seems it sliced on the frame. Drilled and mounted an Eye Bolt this time for a much safer and direct...

    Update on cabin rod-racks.

CaptnBill, I would be happy to help in any way I can. If you get one made up and send to me, I will try to make any copies and send out to others if requested. For Richierich, not sure if these will fit an '88.

    Cracked pipe on hardtop tower

Oh yeah, and also the stand pipe! No more exposed cables/wiring! It was so easy to run the cables/wires through this down into the cabin! Should have done this in the very beginning! The wiring all wrapped up and protected. Before, I had wires all over the place. Pic one shows the wires coming...

    Cracked pipe on hardtop tower

Ok, got her back! Excellent job done by the welder! I was very impressed. Looked factory and the gussets were a surprise. Triangles instead of pipes! It actually looks good and is much stronger. Running in seas this weekend, I could tell a huge difference in stablity.

I think folding it will be fine. Didn't think of the logistics involved for you on this one! :( How many folks need this? I am one.

    Tow Vehicle for Grady 258

Towing my '92 Sailfish 252G that I estimate is right at 10K with my 2002 Ford Excursion V10. No issue. Pull well and has plenty of power. Have not gone long distance yet ,but she seems it will be non issue. No issue on ramps yet either, plenty of traction so far and have not needed to engage...

Having some issues with Outriggers and Electronics

If your outrigger mounts are loose, they will move and rub the aluminum on fiberglass along with any grit and create a nasty dark gray/black material and looks nasty. But it does rinse off easily enough. My tower mounts did this when they came loose. After removing the mounts, cleaning up under...

    Cracked pipe on hardtop tower

Bobp, Good idea on the drilling at end of cracks. Thanks for making me feel better in that I am not alone in this issue. The Admiral was pressing me that I did it! Hoping that this guy I took it too will get me fixed up right with the extra bracing. He actually builds towers and does...

    Black Box?

Thanks! Didn't think it would be a fuse box with the fuses under the helm. Will check it out!

    Black Box?

Was noticing this weekend when cleaning up in the cabin, there is a black box in the corner as you exit from the cabin. Seems it has 2 good sized wires going into it, but not sure of it's purpose? Anyone know what this is?

    Cracked pipe on hardtop tower

Dropped off the boat for repair to hardtop and hope to get back before end of next week. The welder looked over the situation and showed me that it still has a lot of movement. He is going to put some additional gussets in the corners to stiffen more and check all stantions to make sure they...

    Cracked pipe on hardtop tower

1992 25' Grady White Sailfish Sportbridge. Was very surprised to see cracks on the pipes! One of the first things I noticed on the Grady was how beefed up the tower is that supports the hardtop. I guess the loose front was the major cause. I don't see a lot of corrosion on the aluminum. It was...

    Sailfish 25

cditch, I had water coming in this weekend as my rear bilge kept turning on every now and then. Looking in bilge in rear, I found water running from front to back on other side of the stringer. Went forward and under deck, opened up the hatch and found that the 3 way connector for the sinks was...

    Cracked pipe on hardtop tower

Anyone had problems with their aluminum pipes cracking? A couple of weeks ago running offshore in 2-3' seas (closely packed) we noticed movement on the hardtop. Wasn't really running hard...approx. 27mph and ride was not bad. Later when we returned home, we saw where the front mounts came...
