    Wiring off the battery terminals

ABYC standards limit the number of connections to a battery terminal to 4. Standards also require over current protection on circuits directly connected at the battery or battery switch. Directly connecting long feeds to a battery is a safety issue. In the event of a short somewhere along the...

Replaced fuel sender in aux tank on 2003 330 Express

It's the glass half empty - half full scenario.

Why am I not getting a full tank in my Freedom 285?

Extra weight forward probably won't for the difference' Extra weight aft can affect the level reading significantly. The fact is that even if you ran 'out' of gas, there will still be gas in the tank, just lower than the pickup. In addition, the sender depending on type may not accurately...

Ride Balance Changed After a Rough Trip

Mike1234, You seem to be doing everything all of us could think of. I was thinking along the same line as Skunkboat that perhaps the listing at rest is not related to the heeling over at speed. If so, the at spped isue has to be either excessive drag on one side or excessive thrust or thrust...

    another charging question

Just busting them a little:) I do wonder if there is a real need for an ACR on a vessel of that size and motor HP.

    T8 tilt problems

It may have been stuck on. Do you turn off the batteries after use? It is possible that you have a bad relay or switch (motor or helm) and it is causing the tilt to run and overheat.

    another charging question

I believe that the ACR also has a ground connection.

    T8 tilt problems

how many leads does you pump have, 2 or 3? When you tested did you try jumping the negative cable back to the battery to see if that has an issue? Also, with th test you did, repeat but if the motor doesn't make noise, wack it (carefully) with something solid to see the motor starts. If it...

Ride Balance Changed After a Rough Trip

Call Grady to ask if there is ballast in the forward bilge area. It may have shifted. It could be water too. Does the hull sit lower in the water at rest than earlier. To tell with the list you need to measure the distance from the rub rail to the water line for both sides and average the two...

    another charging question

Let's start over. What functionality are you trying to provision? If it is just having a backup battery, you don't really need the ACR. It can be wired but all you need to do is run on a different battery, 1 or 2, on different trips so that the battery selected gets charged. Fully charged...

    T8 tilt problems

Did you apply power and ground directly to the tilt motor leads? If not, try that to see if the motor runs.

    Adventure 208 Freshwater Tank Location

The space is not waterproof and gets wet if the bilge gets water. In addition, the fuel hose to the fuel filter from the tank pickup runs through the tank space, clamped off to one side. Some folks add a hatch to make storage space and maybe that works out for something like a second anchor but...

The 1-both-2 switch should be all you need. Here is a simple diagram from BlueSeas http://assets.bluesea.com/files/resources/reference/all-switches.pdf One comment about your comment on combining both batteries if the primary fails or runs down: In that case you probably do not want to combine...

The tank was center aft right up against the motor well dam. You should see a hatch panel that is about 2 feet wide and 18 inches or so deep. My numbers may be off but the panel is obvious. It is held in with 6 screws and caulking. It may have various rubber shims under the lip to level it...

    Original MSRP 2005 Grady-White 282 Sailfish

No and depending on what options it had, the MSRP could have been a higher by a decent amount. If you search for Grady White archived brochures, you can look up what were standard features and options and what were optional.

Thinking of purchasing a 1997 192 Tournament (new engine and trailer)

The fuel line was replaced or worked on at some point in time. There are two clamps on it and the pickup fuel line doesn't need two clamps and may not have had two originally. If they were factory, the clamps would not have been installed facing the same direction. I can't tell from the picture...
