    NMEA 4 way T

yeah, that does make sense. I'll get that wired in and see what happens. It looks like from the wiring diagram I've found there is a gray wire I can use for Ignition power.

    265 repower

The boat is home, and it's done for the most part. The only issue we're having is with tying in the kicker to the main steering. The attachment points for the kicker steering cable are not working, so I may need to fabricate a bracket or something to get them to work together or just remove...

    NMEA 4 way T

Also when I go into the "Display Network" on the Raymarines, I see both Raymarine displays on the network, but dont see the Suzuki gauges

    NMEA 4 way T

Yeah, i dont see any of that. The fuel senders are connected, as i can see the level on the suzuki gauges.

    NMEA 4 way T

The suzuki gauges display engine data, but the Raymarine displays don't. I'm going to install the Keyed power T and see if anything changes.

    NMEA 4 way T

So when I explained this setup to the installer, he mentioned the 2 power T's aren't necessary. That the gauges don't get their power from the NMEA network. So he wired it basically the same as you, but only the single house T. He left the isolator in there though? The MFDs power up with the...

    265 repower

Well, they are making progress in the repower. Wiring, gauges, and binnacle are all complete. Hopefully will be hanging the engines tomorrow. Need to thank Skunk as I took most of his gauge placement from his repower. With the trim tab switch next to the ignition key.

What's on your list for winter projects?

Biggest thing for me, is the boat goes in on Monday for a repower. New MFD's are mounted, just need to finsh up wiring/etc. Done a bit of detailing on it, but still have more to do. I've also been looking into LED lighting.

Transom Rebuild - follow my journey

Might even be less expensive to pay one of the fine members on GG with transom replacement experience to fly out and rebuild mine. :D

Transom Rebuild - follow my journey

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of shopping to do here in the Portland area, I think there are maybe 3 places that do that type of work. Maybe I'll need to call around to some Seattle places when the time comes to have my transom replaced.

Transom Rebuild - follow my journey

Speaking of transom work, it seems most of the threads I read, most everyone says about 10k. That must be an east coast price, because most of the people I talk to here in the Pacific NW, are 15k-18k. I know there are probably fewer fiberglass shops around here, since aluminum boats are the...

    NMEA 4 way T

Starting to build my network, was curious if you can connect two 4-way NMEA connectors directly together? Tried google searching, but havent found anything with my searches If so, I assume just make the power connection in one of the center 2 ports? Thanks

    Wiring

I'm pretty sure I have just the standard Seastar, because it definitely doesnt look like the tournament series pictures I've looked at.

    Scotty downrigger mounting advice.

Makes sense on the port side, but being an express with center helm, wouldn't think it would matter. But haven't fished in mine yet, so I'll have to see.

    2002 Grady White Express 265

I just bought a 2000 265 a few months ago. When I bought it, I knew it was going to need some things, but I got it for what I think was a good price. Mine had Yamaha OX66 250'S on it, those are now off and going in on Monday to get new Suzuki 200s. Definitely will help if you're handy, but lots...

    Scotty downrigger mounting advice.

You can see the previous owner added some sort of support brace underneath. Also added a couple of random scotty mounts. Going tto have to figure out a way to clean that up. It's odd though he didn't add to random mounts on the starboard side.
