    Washdown Pump - ongoing issue

I have a terrible washdown pump issue with my Voyager 248 that I think I have solved but looking for some input from other Voyager/Journey owners - specifically, how many inches above the bildge floor is the top of your washdown pump mounted?? I believe when replacing the original pump I...

    Washdown Pump Issue

Same electronics as installed for past 9years. Only addition is elec-start 8hp kicker motor connected to battery switch. Maybe the kicker is causing surge in system - will connect directly to battery. I will fiddle with connections etc... to see what I can sort out.

The "Grady Bunch" tuna guys in the Pacific NW

Typically, winter offers a few days here and there for bottom fishing and crabbing, although this winter has been far too rough so far. Forecast for this week is 8-18ft seas and 15-40mph winds…that has pretty much been the story for past 70-80days. Usually we get 6-7day storms with 2-3day...

Kicker Bracket for 1997 248 Voyager

Steering is tied to the big motor with inexpensive universal rod. Works great on all but the gusty days when steering and throttle are required to keep her tracking straight. I will need to get back to you on the prop specs.

The "Grady Bunch" tuna guys in the Pacific NW

USCG restricts recreational and commercial differently with more conservative restrictions on recreational craft. Swell direction and size along for forecasted seas and winds are the determining factors with recreational restrictions beginning at 3ft for small rowing and paddle craft, 4-6ft...

The "Grady Bunch" tuna guys in the Pacific NW

I love Depoe Bay - the entrance keeps a lot of wankers away and its closest to the tuna most years. Good people and skilled anglers with excellent USCG station working to keep everyone safe. Pic below is a single handed tuna day with a Salmon limit to cap off a fine July outing. My first...

Opinions on 1996 Grady White 24 Voyager

I have a 97 Voyager with 250hp that I purchased 4years ago. It's been a great boat providing trouble free service. I fish it up tp 50-60miles off the Oregon coast and find it to be a good ride in our rough conditions. Balancing the weight is the key to a softride. Center fuel tank full with...

    fish finders

Not be a smart-a@@ but maybe limited or no fish around. I salmon fish and rarely mark fish when on the troll - plenty caught but almost never marked. Will mark bait balls, big arches and schools, small to big arches. In deeper water, 100ft or greater, auto gain will not always help your arch...
