    Just Sayin......

I can totally relate. Moved one battery from starboard to port to join its twin (31M-AGM) in order to balance the kicker. To remove them I have to remove the outside one to access the inside one. Also to make room had to put the trim tab pump high on the inside of the transom and relocate the...

    scuffed gelcoat

Thanks for all you responses, tough time explaining the marks. No transfer from the dock, more like a aggressive edge of sand paper left a long couple of streaks. Have not attacked it yet, but did try some Goof Off to no avail. Tried to get some pics of it to show here but having a hard time...

    scuffed gelcoat

Band of Brothers, I have a gelcoat dock scuff on the hull on the bow flare below the rub rail, about 3 ft. long. Have looked at few you tube videos on repair but they all seem a little overkill. The gelcoat is just marred not through the gelcoat or really scratched. Is there a less...

    flushing

Yes, I use the "snap on" hose attachments on both main and kicker flush ports as well as on both my flushing muffs. Gets rid of lining up threads especially when doing a wash down with motor tilted full up at berth.

    aluminium trailer corrosion

The reason I suggested starboard is because I have left overs from other projects. aluminium trailer corrosion

Thanks seasick, Talked to a outfit here that sells Highliner trailers and does repairs to boat trailers. On picking up new u-bolts from them they suggested putting an anti static (grounding strap)strap as they said that some of the corrosion on the trailer is from electrolysis, I guess caused...

    aluminium trailer corrosion

Thanks guys., will proceed as suggested butyl tape or 4200. Yes it does sound like a better block as Denis mention "caused by water being trapped" would still occur still with starboard.....although are we trying separate the metal or also keep salt water from being trapped agains the aluminium...

Hi guys, looking for little guidance in my trailer project. I have removed the bunks with the mounting brackets attached. Where the brackets were fastened to the I beam aluminium trailer (6000 lb.Road King) has left quite a salt deposit with some corrosion where the dissimilar metals join. I...

captaintony, I removed the 6 inch plates in the splash well and replace them with two 10 inch Armstrong deck plates. Totally waterproof and makes easy access to the happenings in the bilge. Talked with GW first and they assured me it would not compromise the splash well structure or stern of...
