I repowered my 2001 265 with twin 2011 Merc Opti's. Performance and economy are outstanding. No regrets.

Sorry for the late response. I repowered our 2001 265 with 2011 merc 225 Opti's and love it. lots of power and great fuel economy. Rev 4 17's get close to 50mph wide open and around 2mpg.

Underside of the hatch has no noticable demarcation ridge to indicate where the core ends. It is smooth. The amount of flex in the hatch when pressure is applied is significant. Something is wrong and I suspect it must be rot.

I have the same boat and same outrigger setup. The hooks will chafe the poles pretty bad over time. I took a wash rag and placed between the pole and hook and apply tension with a bungee cord on the long runs to the stream. Not the greatest fix but effective.
