    Motorwell drains

I keep kicking around getting something different but in the end I may just do the same It came with the brass ones that were good for 20+ years, so another 20 would suit me just fine

    Starboard, marine plywood or ?

Make sure you predrill undersized of course.. Use a scrap piece to find the proper bit that will be tight on the screw going in, but not too tight. The correct shouldered screws with a counter sunk hole to make it proper

    Fiberglass cockpit sole soft spot

Im a little vague on your question. You are asking about underneath the hatch ? There is what I would call a "gutter" around the perimeter of the plywood. See attached pics - I would imagine its is "faired" like that so it will sit on the rim of the deck (where you see the clamps) and be flush...

    Water in my bilge

Well I havent put the piece in yet but I know exactly what you mean, it is one of my concerns. The only saving grace is that the mushroom top is a tad smaller than the recess in the livewell for the original fitting. That might help a little. Ive seen other fittings online that were a bit...

    Fiberglass cockpit sole soft spot

Interesting explanation, but do not agree on that being the reason for all the small pieces. Im sure you can get the air bubbles out if there was only 4 pieces I just let the pro's handle this part of the job for me so I could do other things that Im better at ;)

    Water in my bilge

As I suspected, a little modification was in order. After cutting the barb off the fitting I needed, I drilled a small hole across the threads, cut and polished an aluminium gutter nail, and epoxied it in as a cross pin so I can use the tool I made to install it tight.

    Water in my bilge

So now that the fuel tank business is over with, its time to pay full attention to the old gal. For quite a while I was getting some water in the bilge and I always dismissed it as either rain water or that half broken flange on the fitting for the livewell drain. No big deal, I always pumped...

    Fiberglass cockpit sole soft spot

Is it a 208 walkaround? I just did mine when I replaced the fuel tank. It was also soft. I have a thread around here somewhere I can link if you like. I have a picture of what the soft spot looked like when I pulled up the deck hatch
