    2004 Yamaha F225 exhaust problems

Smart to check! Did you get a discount? Where are you located BTW ( or where has boat spent most of it's life?)

    2004 Yamaha F225 exhaust problems

No I didn't, I figure since the Yamaha is the issue I don't need to pay extra at the Grady White dealer LOL. (not actually sure of labor rate). I called 3 Yamaha service centers, Lighthouse, Salmon somthing in Tacoma, and Auburn Sports and Marine (they do great work). What I asked was "how...

1993 208 Adventure Hardtop Kicker Addition

To prevent the kicker from sucking the bulb dry on the main, you need an anti-siphon valve. It just a hose barb you screw into your fuel water seperator, easy peezy Amazon has them. Your tiny kicker is isn't going to prop walk you anywhere. Non issue. I'd worry about the weight issues though...

1993 208 Adventure Hardtop Kicker Addition

The steering isn't going to change from a little kicker motor but it's annoying that grady the the swim platform ladder on the port. I mounted my kicker on starboard so I didn't have to move the ladder. The handle can hit the main during trailering. That's a good reason to mount on port, (like...

    Repower - 98' 232 gulfstream

My friend has had a Suzuki 350 duo prop on his 92' Grady Gulfstream for 4 years now. Goes great. Boat is so dang heavy, it really benefits from 2 props.

    2004 Yamaha F225 exhaust problems

I have one at 1200 hours, Been "inspected" and they say it's fine. I still wonder. The 3 yamaha shops I've called near Seattle, haven't done many over the years. If it was that big of deal, I would have thought they'd do more. My engine is from Canada so that supports the warm water theory...

    Rhodan on a GW Marlin

We troll with gas kicker motors around here. No one has an electric motor. School me on a Rodan. The spot lock feature is all I would want it for I suppose. Bottom fish season is only 6 weeks. Otherwise, we troll for 8 hours in heavy current. Doubt it could do that without a fortune spent on...

Grady White Islander Performance data from Boating Magazine - July 1995

I love seeing those old magazine article tests. 90s film cams and sick brochures are fun to look at. Have you found the old marketing brochures and manual here: https://www.gradywhite.com/explore/grady-owners/owners-manuals/ Grady posts them.

Thanks for the reply that’s the best answer I found. Yeah 2K maybe but 7K no way I agree.

Battery upgrade for 228 and a question

That's my understanding too. If you have them isolated it's fine. Different battery types no but sizes is ok.

Any chance anyone has the templates for a modern 228? I want to install seadek.

Did anyone end up getting a template for a 228 or a price for the deck? I know KY did the swim step but wonder what the price for the cockpit/helm is.

Battery upgrade for 228 and a question

Skunk boat knows what's up. For the ultimate fool proof system get the Blue Seas ACR and replace the switch with this one. Seems similar but important difference. But if you add the ACR follow Blue Seas wiring diagram. They have one for what you want to do. https://amzn.to/35ZcvYO Nigel Calder...

    Updating stereo on boat 228

Same on mine. The 10" sub has about a 9" cut out needed to it replaced the pie-plate access cover. Now I'll have to take my speaker out to replace the pump. That was the only place I could find on the boat that was acceptable to me to put the sub. No issues so far. Very tight fit to get around...

    Updating stereo on boat 228

Got 4 new Skar 6.5s in my custom pods. Didn’t have to new drill holes. The back pods replaced some old Skar indoor outdoor 6.5 speakers that were huge but we’re getting rusty. You can see them in the last pic. I had to paint the grills every year. I like the new ones because they’re sealed...

    Grady White 228 Pilot House

Yep yep! He's got pantographic wipers on there too and really nice window from Motion in Vancouver, WA. Matches the squareness of the old Grady's like how he delete the front windows too. I think the newer rounded top caps of the 228 would need some more curves. Found the same boat on an...

    Grady White 228 Pilot House

I've seen lots of DIY pilot houses. Most are ugly as people get the lines wrong. This one is dialed and he's made several subtle mods that make this 87 look great. Saw it for sale in Canada last year. If I didn't have a hardtop would def get a pilot house-made! If someone could duplicate that...

I need new Batteries for my 228

User error is what usually murders batteries. Take the user out of the equation and buy an ACR.
