Location of Head Compartment Exhaust Blower On 330 Express

Ok, you folks helped me with the generator blower. Now where is the head blower? I haven’t really looked for it, but it’s squealing like the other one. I’m guessing it’s somewhere near the hot water heater? I sure hope it’s easier to get to then the other one! I still have yet to look behind...

Added a Fire Extinguishing System to The Generator Space

Your right on that. But with the newer fuel injected model vs the carborated model. The risk is not as bad. The previous owner put this brand new gen set in, so I guess I’ll stick with it for a while. I had the original Kohler 5kw in my Bertram. It was carborated. I put a new CO detector in the...

Added a Fire Extinguishing System to The Generator Space

I’m sure your right. I’m showing my age. I started my marine career in 1977 As a carpenter/installer at a major yard. I installed a bunch of Halon systems. I’ve just kept calling them a halon system. I don’t know what’s in the can? All I read was cu ft and installation requirements. Ithink I...

Installed a fire extinguishing System in the Generator Space

I have a gasoline Gen set and There are 9 different fuel lines and 3 fuel filters in the generator space. I figured it might be smart to install a halon system. I installed one on my last boat. Fortunately it never went off, but it’s nice to know it’s there. Super easy. There was only one spot...

    Stainless Steel Fuel filter/water separators

Parts Vu has the Yamaha stainless steel water separators on sale. They are normally some crazy price around $100. They have them for $56 now. Still high, but worth it. My old Mercruiser ones that Grady used, were totally corroded. While I was installing these. I used a sharp hose cutter, and cut...

    Marelon valve lubricant

If you have the original Yellow handled Conbraco Apollo valves. They require no lubrication. Just as mentioned above. cycle them every so often. I have been the Conbraco Marine Rep for 31 years. Grady switched to Marine Hardware valves about 6 years ago, due to a buying group decision. my 18...

    330 express TV replacement

I moved my stereo to the hardtop and put the remote in the cabin. We like the full features and ease of use with the main head unit at the helm. I put a blueray DVD player where the stereo was. I ran the wires behind the galley and thru the AC compartment. Then I crossed the aft berth by going...

Added Sound Proofing to 330 Express Generator Space

I added some 1/2” sound absorbing foam to the 2 hatch panels for the Gen space. It definitely quieted things down a bit. I’m going to build a Dorade box behind the 2 vents for the compartment. A lot of noise is coming from those vents.

The Ambassador faucets at Defender are all ceramic valves. They won’t leak. They have a 5 year warranty. That’s what I used for replacements in my 330 Express.

    330 Express Bilge Blower Location

Yeah, I had done that before when I had to run a new 12v positive wire from the big red forward bilge breaker up to the forward bilge switch. My wiring harness had a break in it somewhere. I shut my shore power off and pulled my main breaker panel out in the cabin. I unscrewed the clear plastic...

    330 Express Bilge Blower Location

Holly cow! Fsc60 and themikehyde saved me half the aggravation by steering me in the right direction. Thanks guys! I had to endure the other half. It was 86 degrees so I had a short sleeve shirt on. Big mistake. My arms look like I got in a cat fight. The fuel lines and wire runs block most of...
