    Electronics wiring question

If you are viewing your plotter/sounder for a good while, just a couple of clicks in the menu and you can turn off the sounder.

Thats a real bummer. was there some serious deck work to get that thing below deck that has to be undone with a saw or is it just screws and bolts?

    New Suzukis

The tank sensors talk to the gauges by measuring small changes in the ohm readings in the circuit, hence the demand for continuous wire leads. If your ground is just connected to whatever ground point that is handy, then there may be some corrosion there to compromise the integrity of the ohm...

    Auto pilot hardover

I know the feeling. I used to drop traps in Hood Canal in Washington, years ago. Same deal as you, we would drop the gear with the appropriate marker bouys with registration numbers on them like the fish cops wanted, and then go off trolling for a few hours. Eventually the theivery of the traps...

    Auto pilot hardover

Ha Ha Ha....Trapper we are cut of the same cloth. All this button pushing and seeing all these magic black boxes making pretty pictures and numbers on a screen is more than confusing. I do want to make sure that you save all your waypoints onto an SD card and remove the card from the MFD before...

    Auto pilot hardover

Brian, I wonder if you may have to do a factory reset to get it to open the "set-up" program??? It would clear all the other special parameters you have set and you would have to re-enter them, but that may be the cost.

    Auto pilot hardover

When I was setting up my AP (raymarine), I manually turned the wheel lock to lock and noted the max angle readout on the controller. In the settings for limiting the amount of stroke the AP can induce, I subtracted 5 degrees in each direction so the AP would never turn to full lock. In Trappers...

Leaking into the cuddy through windshield screws

That foam in the windshield channel is for asthetics and not intended to be water-tight. If you are sure you have all the screws sealed, then be sure to check the horn which has screw penetrations plus a hole for the wires and check the wiper having a large hole with a compression nut that...

    Auto pilot hardover

Thats a very interesting feature. It kinda sounds like you need to speak with a Furuno tech to get to the bottom of that glitch. I do wonder if it hangs up in both port and starboard hardover situations or only in one direction?

    Galvanic Corrosion???

Ekea, you don't know it yet, but you don't want to do that. If you do do that, then the day will come when you will say, "I don't know why I didn't listen to those guys".

    Auto pilot hardover

I am not familiar with the ability to hold boat attitude in a back-troll situation with the AP. A cool feature for sure. Let us know what is causing the snafu if you find the answer elsewhere.

    livewell fills

The pickup scoop under the boat gets pressurized when at speed, forcing water up, through the seacock, into the livewell. You need to either close the seacock or close the flow adjuster valve inside the livewell. That is normal, what you are experiencing. The pump is a simple...
