    300 Marlin Helm AC

Never tried, but I can tell you in south TX., mine does all it can to keep the cabin a few degrees cooler. Also, considering the Head is not conditioned either. Guess I have relegated myself to being very hot offshore, only cool the cabin for a few passengers that cannot deal with heat.

Done, don't know you Jeff, but it seemed right for me to help out. This site has certainly saved me every bit of the donation. Keep up the great work.

    Marlin 300 CO Detector

I believe since a Life Safety Device, it's wired to the Battery like the VHF, Bilge Pumps. Should be right on the battery.

    30 Marlin generator replacement

My Marlin came with a 5KW Kohler, no complaints. It was easy to change oil, and impeller was not too bad. Gasoline not Diesel, so it just taps off the Aux Tank.

Boat envy, thinking about a new Marlin 300, have questions.

My Marlin lives in the water all year, went 2 seasons before redoing the bottom paint, and it was not bad considering gulf coast is very warm and has much stuff growing fast. I am going push 3 seasons this time. You definitely need someone to keep an eye on the Lines and run it or do scrape...

Lowrance / Simrad Autopilot for Marlin

Here was a picture I posted in another thread: https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/305-express-auto-pilot-pump-location.33202/#post-223303 Basically, had a local sheet metal guy make an Alum Bracket w/ gusset hung on the bulkhead under helm. I bought the Simrad Kit with the AP48, Pump, and...

Lowrance / Simrad Autopilot for Marlin

I have same Lowrance HDS Lives. Could not use the NAV-1 Kit, the Pump is not big enough and had to go with the Nav-3 and bigger pump for Seastar volume. ended up with AP-48 Autopilot, so it does not have control from the HDS, but I am OK with that actually. I just put in my course on the HDS...

    Generator question on marlin

As Seasick said, mine is wired into house battery for starting, not independent.

    Rainwater in Bilge?????

Hookup, I can see that for sure. The issue with mine was that the float activated, but because the hull was not level, as it would be in the water, it just ran and ran and did not pump out 100%, then burned up 2 batteries. Fortunately, thanks to Sam's, they replaced 2 AGM's under warranty.

    Rainwater in Bilge?????

Not sure about the concern, my boat sits in the water most of time, and the auto bilge should pump out. I did notice when trailered, with the hull slightly tilted, the float switch stuck and actually burned up 2 batteries, go figure. But, there is anchor locker, hatches, and other small places...

Marlin Helm to Port Stereo Path

Did this a few years ago to run a new Remote from Helm to Stereo. Used a fishtape in Cabin Ceiling from Dome light, to Port Wiper Moto Cover, then around the side to Stereo. It was not intuitive, but worked fine. Kind of a Triangle. I could not find a good path from Bilge, Aft Berth up to...

    Marlin 300 transducer

Nice on the 2021 Marlin, not sure what is different on Flats, but have 2 of these B175H and 175HW on 2005 Marlin.

    Navionics chart??

Hard to tell, but I use Navionics and usually the Micro version. That is 2004 date code, probably should get the update anyway. Probably where the boat or chartplotter came from, and you could plug in and see if it shows your area.

305 Express Auto Pilot pump location

Same as FSC60, under helm above footrest, had an Alum BKT made, put some neoprene padding behind and under to help with vibration noise.

Rhodan 96" TM on Canyon 306

There was a post on a 30' Marlin, large vessel in that class with the setup. I saw it since have the same boat and was curious on the reality of hit holding in gulf of Mexico seas. https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/trolling-motor-on-a-300-marlin.32758/

Trolling Motor on a 300 Marlin

I see the small bay boats out 20 miles in the Gulf with anchor lock, trolling motor is probably fine for that weight class and vessel mass, wondered how they work on a GW 300? Many times, current is ripping a few knots and even with 2 250's in reverse can be hard to hold over a wreck. I would...

    Marlin transducer dilemma

Not sure if it helps, but the best 2-4" holes Grady Dealer talked me into cutting was the best. These are mounted on the Factory ducer blocks in the stern bilge. They hold bottom great and you don't have the heat problems etc. with thru hulls. They cost too, but going 3 years no issues...
