    Gulfstream vs 258 for fishing?

speaking out of school here, but i seem to remember Grady offering "Grady Drive" on some models? same setup as the Gulfstream.

Grady 330 Express Battery and fuel selector box

can't be positive, but it looked like mine (2009) was constructed by GW. good luck, ron

    Gulfstream vs 258 for fishing?

yes, a 9'3" beam. stable at drift or anchor (my propensity). i was always fine under power, but i match speed to sea conditions and i rarely exceed 30 mph. not like the Haulover videos I've seen

    Gulfstream vs 258 for fishing?

can't help on the comparison to the 258 (especially since i'm not familiar with that model). but, i did a lot of comparisons when we bought our gulfstream in 2002. all other brands had to go to a 25' for parity. even the 265 Express was marginally "larger" save for the cabin. they did...

    Leak in Cabin

before you go nuts, might want to pop the valance and see what's what.

    Leak in Cabin

hard to tell from pic, but is the area saturated? if not, could be from condensation.

    Vacuflush in a 265 Express?

other than vacuflush, you might look into freshwater draw Jabsco units. that would help with the odor reduction and pretty much stay with the same footprint. there are several different models. good luck, ron

    fair number off msrp?

price sheet i go was spot on to the website numbers for msrp and options. the actual invoice number is what it is. not like KBB or Edmunds which i believe have a better fix on the invoices for autos. you have to eyeball the freight and prep to judge it's reasonableness. but there is enough...

    fair number off msrp?

get to https://seedealercost.com/boats and price out. if you are in business you'll know what's a reasonable price point. if it's an order, it probably won't be as good as something already sitting on floor plan. if they're good on a trade-in they may want higher margin on the new sale...

Remove gas tank hatch on a 305

not sure if it changed, but this is what GW recommended. they use the commercial version but GE silicone II was the retail one. good luck, ron

    Trim Tab Indicator

if it's the indicator with 2 buttons on top and 2 on bottom, just go thru the reset process. that should clear it up unless the senders are actually bad. good luck, ron

    330 Express Bilge Pump removal

i can't attest to 2002, but my year had access to the pump via the pie plate at the transom. long arms required. good luck, ron

New Guy thinking about buying a Gulfstream

not trying to sell you on twins. but, my boat measured 28+ feet LOA stem to stern. definitely concur with sea trialing a single. ron

    Diesel Heater?

obvious thought is making sure it can be installed safely. i remember that MB had a diesel heater in some of their European cars (work associates had it). it was not permitted in the USA. good luck, ron

New Guy thinking about buying a Gulfstream

owned a 2002 with twin f200's (the old heavy ones) until 2009. can't add anymore to the above other than endorsing twins. really helps the close quarter handling. someone mentioned trailering. it's a 9'3" beam so you need to factor permits possibility. good luck, you'll love it. ron

    cockpit floor protection

hey, good idea. but i would use the PlastiDip (and i will next season) instead of heating rubber. thx for the idea, ron

    Port-a poti

my 02 gulfstream was sealand (dometic). seems to be current models that look the same. https://www.dometic.com/en-us/us/products/hygiene-and-sanitation/sanitation/boat-toilets scroll down.

same. agree on the dridek. but all i use is this. https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-marine--gel-coat-scratch-patch--P004_120_006_503?recordNum=5 good luck. ron

Used Marlin Sea Trial handling & Fisher Panda Generator

can't speak to the genset, but i haven't been on ANY boat that didn't have a significant reaction to a broadside wave. i almost tossed my father when i was a young teenager. i don't know what "stiff" means to you. hydraulic should be smooth, but you are still turning the engines. if trim...

    starboard battery constantly dies

don't bother. i had 5212's. at some point in the past a software update caused the sonar voltage readout to go sideways. mine was about 1/2 volt or so low. ron
