I had those same helm seats and used Mr Clean magic erasers on them and they cleaned right up to almost new, give that a try first you may be surprised.

On my cuddy bolsters, the screws are in the middle strip of the bolster on my 1999 Seafarer. I ran a Phillips screwdriver along the middle until I found the screw head through a slit in the fabric.

Well that’s interesting as I have been running Optima AGM marine batteries and they have outlasted any wet batteries by a few years, I guess I’ve been lucky. I thought the AGMs were better for vibration and bouncing.

Geez, this is a great deal, I paid $800 plus shipping last year for a similar set with good bases, luckily I sold my seats to ease the pain.

Cleaning first with acetone is great advice, mine was a black color, so I thought but the acetone brought out the navy blue factory color.

Ultimately it’s your money so you must feel confident in the condition of the boat for the price you have offered. Let’s face it that all used boats are risky to some degree, the owner should have gone with you on the sea trial and assumed all the risk and cost to get it in the water. My 2 cents.
